Artist statement

Kayla Ang is an artist based in Hong Kong, currently studying at the Academy of Visual Arts, HKBU. Through her vibrant oil paintings, particularly self-portraits, she explores themes of self-discovery and the pursuit of tranquility. She often merges illustration with traditional Western art, offering a fresh perspective on paintings.

Kayla’s work embodies serenity, inviting viewers to reflect on their own journeys and experiences.
