Message from Chairman of the Board of Governors, HKAC

Welcome everyone to "Collect Hong Kong 2025."

I have always aspired to propel Hong Kong Arts Centre to soar new heights. With the arrival of "Art March," the HKAC seized the opportunity to hold this large-scale art fair and make it one of "Art March" highlight events as well as the only major event focused on promoting local artists. ”Collect Hong Kong” also aligns perfectly with the government's blueprint for the development of arts, culture and creative industries.

The blueprint emphasises the integration of culture, sports and tourism, focusing on market-driven growth to advance the arts and creative industries to solidify Hong Kong as a hub for East-meets-West cultural exchange. This mission is very much consistent with that of the Hong Kong Arts Centre. "Collect Hong Kong" is a successful extension of 2023’s "The Collectible Art Fair" aimed at helping local artists expand into international markets and promoting cultural and artistic development.

This art fair brings together over 300 local artists from Hong Kong's top art institutions and showcases around 350 creations. The quality of the artwork is truly breathtaking. The event not only fosters exchange among artists but also attracts participation from citizens and tourists. It spotlights the unique charm of the fusion of Eastern and Western arts in Hong Kong, enhancing public appreciation for local art and enriching Hong Kong's cultural vibe.

The success of this large-scale event would not have been possible without strong support from all sectors. We sincerely thank everyone for their contributions to the local art scene. Looking ahead, we hope that the Hong Kong Arts Centre can host more large scale events for art enthusiasts both locally and abroad, promoting cultural diversity and creative transformation as we shape Hong Kong to be the most beautiful capital of arts.
