Artwork Statement 作品簡介 
 
Focusing on clay’s movement and the variations created during shrinkage, this work embraces forms that arise naturally from material behaviour. Inspired by Wedgwood Jasperware blue and horse motifs, it highlights a resonance between the motion of the horse and the clay’s own movements. 
 
作品聚焦陶泥在收縮過程中的動態與變化，並呈現物料在不同條件下自然生成的形態。作品引用 Wedgewood Jasperware 的藍色與馬的圖像，藉此連結馬匹運動與陶泥本身的動態，讓物料的自然生成成為主要的表現力量。 
 
 
About Artist 關於藝術家 
 
Ray Chan See‑kwong holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and RMIT University. He has joined artist‑in‑residence programmes in Japan, Korea and Estonia. Chan is an assistant professor at Hong Kong Baptist University, a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, and Chairman of the Contemporary Ceramic Society (H.K.). His works are collected by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. 
 
陳思光畢業於英國劍橋大學，並於 2002 年及 2007 年取得香港藝術學院與澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學合辦的藝術學士及碩士學位，主修陶瓷。他現為香港浸會大學助理教授、IAC 會員及香港當代陶藝協會會長。
