The mysterious transformation of a caterpillar into a chrysalis is filled with pure beauty. Within the process of metamorphosis lies the chaotic and intricately complex reorganization of life, hidden from outward observation. Before spreading its wings, it must struggle through the rupturing of the pupa, with new life contained within. Only through direct experience can one truly appreciate the essence of this journey.

Artist Statement

My work primarily uses clay as a medium for self-exploration, relating to memory, circumstances, and inner emotions. As this inward journey continuously surfaces in my mind, intertwining and entangling, it crystallizes into complexities and struggles—perhaps an essential phase of growth. Through the process of manipulating the material, I release these cries. I aim to manifest the abstract and ineffable through ceramic creation. This is my expression of experience.
