Artist Statement 

Overwhelmed by the possibility of endless alternate versions of the original through digital editing and inspired by early 20th-century film coloring techniques, this artwork explores the process of hand colorization of b&w photo prints.

My name is Sasha, and I am a multidisciplinary creative based in Hong Kong. I grew up in North Germany and Saint Petersburg and am pursuing a double degree program, studying digital media theory and training in inter-media creative practices. When creating, I seek experimental approaches, embracing the unpredictability and authenticity of the medium itself.
