Artist Statement
1970 年⽣於北京,⼤學畢業後來⾹港⼯作定居。
曾參加過幾⼗次⾹港、中國⼤陸、歐洲等地區的國際性展覽: 上海藝博會、
深圳藝博會、⾹港⽔墨藝博、亞洲當代藝術展、倫敦亞洲藝術週,⾹港城
市藝博會,Art Central、Affordable Art Fair、⾹港⽔墨藝博、⾹港典雅藝
博、⾹港美協聯展、⾹港當代⽔墨畫會聯展等;
2016 年 2019 年和 2021 年舉辦過三次個展。作品多次在⾹港保利拍賣公
司成功競拍,很多作品被世界各地的機構和收藏家廣泛收藏;
作品曾⼊選全球 500 強⽔墨⼤展及北京國際美術雙年展(抗疫篇);
劉佳擅⻑表達超現實意象,作品靈動⽽富有想像⼒,造型精準⽽⾊彩清
雅。作品細膩感⼈,創作靈感通常源於⽣活所思所⾒,她⼀直追求「詩
意」的繪畫語境,細膩⽽帶有古意、靈動之處包涵哲學思想。近年她還涉
獵篆刻,創作⽅⾯「外師造化」下追求「中得⼼源」,在傳統詩書畫印的功
夫上傳承並尋求突破。
她曾就讀於⾹港⼤學專業進修學院花⿃及⼈物課程,以及⾹港⻄泠學堂,
也曾師從於林天⾏,馮永基,⿈孝逵等當代⽔墨藝術家,現為⾹港美協會
員。多年來也在道爾頓國際學校以及滬江維多利亞學校教授繪畫。
LIU JIA
Liu Jia was born in Beijing in 1970 and now lives in Hong Kong.
Liu Jia has participated in dozens of international exhibitions in Hong
Kong、Mainland China、Europe and other regions, such as Shanghai Art
Fair、Shenzhen Art Fair、Hong Kong Ink Asia、Asia Contemporary Art Fair、Affordable Art Fair、Asia Art in London、Hong Kong Urban Art Fair、Art Central、Hong Kong Artists Association exhibition etc.
She also had three solo exhibitions in 2016、2019and 2021.
Her works were successfully auctioned by Poly Auction in 2021 and 2013.
Many of her works are also collected by institutions and collectors around the world.
Her work was enlisted into Global 500 Ink Exhibition and Beijing International Art Biennale (Anti- epidemic).
Liu Jia's works are delicate and touching. Her creative inspiration usually comes from what she sees and thinks in life. She pursues the "heart source" by "learning from nature" and inherits and seeks breakthroughs in the
traditional kung fu of poetry, painting, calligraphy and seal.
She studied the Flower, Bird, and Figure course at the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Xiling Academy. She has also learned from contemporary ink artists such as Master Lin TianXing, Master Raymond Fung, and Master Huang XiaoKui. She is a member of the Hong Kong Artists Association. She has been teaching painting at Dalton International School and Shanghai Victoria School for many years.
