Lenticular print on acrylic

Artist Statement
This artwork attempts to mimic a noisy screen. In Chinese, screen noise is poetically referred to as "snowflakes," a term that inspires the aesthetic and conceptual foundation of this piece. Amidst the snowy chaos, a skull and a hidden figure depict the coming of artificial intelligence, a presence surfacing from a sea of data.
The artwork challenges the capabilities of generative imagery by incorporating two things that are elusive AI: true randomness, represented by the noise, and super low-resolution imagery within 15x15 pixels. The use of lenticular printing provides a visual experience that is only perceivable by eyes, not camera. Together, these elements create an interplay between the organic and the artificial, the visible and the hidden, inviting viewers to reflect on the boundaries of perception and AI.
