Artist Statement 

Alice Lau, born in Hong Kong, graduated from RMIT University, BA of Fine Arts, major in Painting.

Alice’s works are inspired by observation and cumulative experience form everyday life. She depicts a fictitious place in her painting with elements from cityscape. Alice enable to express herself freely through creating these imaginary spaces. She concerns about the state of our existence and questions the absurdity in our daily life. In her recent paintings, she painted phenomenal weather as metaphor of uncertain circumstances happen in our daily life.
