Artist Statement
Cathleen Ching Yee Lau is a an interdisciplinary sculptor and cross-media installation artist born in Hawaii and based in Hong Kong, she graduated from the Hong Kong Art School (RMIT) with a specialization in sculpture. Renowned for utilizing sculpting and craftsmanship to portray the contemporary allure of artificial flaws, she specializes in mixed-media sculpture, delves into mixed media to examine concepts of time and power dynamics.She is also the founder of collaborative independent space, Mist Gallery.
