Artist Statement

“Consequently, the form can… appear beautiful, ugly…and so forth, and yet it must not be accepted or rejected either for the qualities…” (On the Problem of Form, Wassily Kandinsky, 1912) Art is art because of its intrinsic notion instead of aesthetic value and should never be restricted by extrinsic form. 
Biography: Freelance 2D digital artist. Mainly focus on illustration. Currently Year 1 student major in Bachelor of Science in Creative Media at SCM of CityUHK. Attend double degree(bachelor in Arts and Science and Bachelor of Fine Arts) course at Tufts University in 2022-2023. Participate in the Brown University Pre-college Summer Program of Modern Art History. Through Tsinglin Practical Platform, Participate in the group exhibition "What is the world like today" (2021) at Today Art Museum, Beijing, both as a curator and an artist. In 2020, volunteer to teach more than fifty black children drawing for six weeks in the Foreigner Service Department in Guangzhou. Taught first and second-graders basic drawing skills in Zhongliuzuo Primary School, which sparked their interest in art.
