Artist Statement

高便蓮生於香港，先後獲得英國考文垂大學藝術文學學士學位及香港中文大學藝術文學碩士學位。
高便蓮的創作關注自然與人之間的關係，擁抱生活，深刻觀察生命，並積極傳播她的快樂創作精神。她認為，從構思、形成創作概念、沉澱思緒、取捨精華，到挑選創作材料及動手製作，整個創作過程的重要性往往不亞於作品本身。她擅長運用玻璃、木材和各種工具，視它們為朋友，每次創作都是一次私密的對話。

Ko Bin-Lin was born in Hong Kong and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Coventry University in the United Kingdom and a Master of Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Ko’s work explores the relationship between nature and humanity, embracing life, observing it deeply, and actively sharing her joyful approach to creation. She believes that the creative process—spanning from idea conception, the development of creative concepts, the refinement of thoughts, and the selection of essential elements, to the choice of materials and hands-on crafting—is often as significant as the final artwork itself. Ko works extensively with glass, wood, and a variety of tools, which she regards as her companions. To her, every piece is a private dialogue between herself and these materials.
