Sculpture, ink on recycled paper

Artist Statement
This sculpture, titled Cat attributed to Shen Zhou, is a paper mache crafted from recycled rice paper, incorporating drafts from my early studies of Chinese ink painting. Inspired by the iconic cat imagery of Ming Dynasty painter Shen Zhou, this sculpture transforms the two-dimensional nature of traditional ink painting into a three-dimensional form. Hand-painted with ink, the sculpture also reflects themes of transformation and renewal, serving as a testament to my creative journey.
