Artist Statement

Henry Feung (born in 2000) currently considers Hong Kong as my creative center and hometown. Graduated from the Hong Kong Design Institute and holds a Higher Diploma in Visual Arts and Culture. 

My artistic practice revolves around themes of love, spirituality and nature. My creative work mainly uses painting as a medium. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Chinese ink paintings I was exposed to in my childhood, I seamlessly integrates Superflat aesthetic elements from the field of pop art into my creations. My vision is to fuse traditional Chinese ink painting with Superflat aesthetics, harmoniously blending the profound philosophy inherent in classical Chinese ink art with the vivid colors and playful charm of contemporary cartoon aesthetics. 

By exploring the interactions and relationships between people and the beauty of all living beings, it aims to awaken the strange and lovely nature within people.
