Artist Statement

Raine is an animation director and creative artist, renowned for her unique vision in the world of animation. A graduate of City University of Hong Kong (2022) with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Media. Her graduation thesis project was nominated for the prestigious ASIAGRAPH 2022 Competition held in Tokyo, Japan, showcasing their storytelling prowess in the field of animation.

Raine's early career highlights include receiving the Finalist Award in the 2020 Harbor Fun Sketching Competition at Hong Kong Anicom Park, and the Merit Prize in the "Live Free, Die Well" Drawing Competition under the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project. In 2017, Raine was also a finalist in the Loving Family Animated Card Design Competition by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

As a director, Raine has produced multiple animation films, including Dream of Death (2022), Balloon (2023), and Nothing (2024). These films explore the possibility of 2D animations.
