Artist statement

Danica Chen was born in Qingdao, China and now lives in Hong Kong. She graduated from the University of the Arts London, UK with a BA in Graphic & Media Design (2013) and from RMIT University (co - presented with Hong Kong Art School) with a BA in Fine Art majoring in ceramics (2021).

She is interested in unearthing the relationship between art, self and life through the interconnectedness of materials and the ceramic-making process.

陳聃生於中國青島，現居於香港。於2013年獲得英國倫敦藝術大學平面與媒體設計學士學位，後於2021年獲得皇家墨爾本理工大學（聯合香港藝術學院）美術學士學位，主修陶瓷。

她擅長透過材料和陶瓷製作過程的相互聯繫，探索自己與藝術和生活之間的關係。
