Artist statement

陳卓穎，畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術系。創作媒介主要為繪畫。她從生命中重覆發生的大小二事和神秘表象獲得靈感，試圖尋求和思考當中的偶然與必然性等哲學現象。她利用繪畫過程中所出現的隨機狀態和一系列的規則，來實現可能的發生和存在。
 
Chan Cheuk Wing, a Hong Kong based artist with a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts in the Baptist University of Hong Kong. Majors in painting, using acrylic and pastel as main medium to paint. Getting inspired by philosophies like accidental phenomena and inexorable law, she makes use of the happening of contingency and set of rules to attain possible occurrence and puts her personal experiences into play. In between the affix of uncontrollable and fixed factors on works, the artist puts herself into endless contemplation and expresses it through art.
