Artwork Statement 作品簡介 
 
It all started by chance and curiosity. For years I never noticed the sealed bathroom vent, until one day a sudden how l drew me to the window. There I discovered Chai Wan Fire Station below, its firefighters playing volleyball, and that tiny opening became the start of an irresistible new photographic journey. 
 
一切由巧遇與好奇開始。我在工作室多年，從未留意窗外，直至一天聽到喧鬧，走近一看，原來是消防員在打排球。那刻起，我被對面消防局吸引，日常操練、抹車、參觀、打球等畫面讓我著迷。初時只是一瞥，後來不拍便覺遺憾，於是記錄成了日常。 
 
 
About Artist 關於藝術家 
 
Chan Dick is a Hong Kong still-life and architectural photographer whose minimalist works explore the boundary between reality and illusion. His award‑winning series “Chai Wan Fire Station” and “The Trek” have been internationally exhibited and published. 
 
陳的自幼喜愛繪畫，修讀平面設計，因畢業功課而踏入攝影，主攻靜物及建築，並專注個人創作，關注社會議題與日常觀察，曾舉行十一個個展。他著迷簡約構圖與真實、虛幻之間的曖昧張力，代表作《柴灣消防局》獲東京國際攝影大賽及香港攝影集比賽獎項，並被香港文化博物館及日本美術館收藏。2018年與港大醫學院合作拍攝人體標本，出版攝影集《探 》，獲國際攝影大獎及東京國際攝影大賽殊榮。
