Artwork Statement 作品簡介 

This work is a re-imagined iteration of my recent installation at Woo Cheong Pawn Shop, where fiber, light and colour come together to form a shifting sculptural landscape. Built with hand-constructed structures, suspended fibers and colour-shifting textile panels produced through laser-printing, the work is designed to change shape depending on the supporting frame, tension and external forces applied. Its form can expand, fold, or arc in different directions, allowing the piece to adapt to each exhibition space. 

The installation highlights the tension between the architectural and the fluid: rigid lines meet soft curves; structural strength meets the gentle movement of fibre. When illuminated, the laser-printed fabric and fibre-optic cords refract light into multiple hues, creating a dynamic visual dialogue that shifts between day and night. 

By allowing the work to transform in response to its environment, I hope to challenge traditional expectations of fiber art and invite viewers to experience how colour, structure and movement can coexist within a single evolving form. This piece reflects my interest in pushing fiber beyond craft—towards an expressive, spatial language that connects light, material and architectural rhythm. 

<<流光構形>>為我在灣仔和昌大押的裝置作品之延伸版本，以纖維、光線與色彩構成一個可變形的雕塑。作品以手工結織、結構支架與激光印製的變色布料組成，形態會因展示時的支撐方式、外力與拉力而改變，可伸展、收縮或呈弧形，因地而異。 

作品強調建築感與流動感之間的張力：硬線條與柔韌纖維並存，結構與弧度互相碰撞。加入光纖線與變色布後，光線折射出多重色彩，使作品在日夜之間呈現不同氣氛。 

這件作品希望突破纖維藝術的既有框架，展示材料在光、空間與形態之間的無限可能。 

About Artist 關於藝術家 

Khalif YU (余) is a Hong Kong–based fiber and installation artist working with macramé and textile. Her sculptural works transform hand-knotting into forms that bridge craft and contemporary spatial practice. She founded Krafty Tube in 2020 and creates both wearable pieces and large-scale installations. 

Khalif YU （余翠敏）為香港纖維及裝置藝術家，主要以繩結（Macramé）及 不同織維為創作媒介，將手工編織轉化為具空間感的當代形式，連結工藝與當代藝術實踐。她於 2020 年創立個人工作室 KRAFTY TUBE，創作不同尺度的纖維作品 及大型空間及藝術裝置。
