陳海鷹以油畫描繪中國油畫先驅李鐵夫。畫中八旬的李鐵夫端坐土瓜灣畫室，目光深邃。李氏早年留美，曾與孫中山創立同盟會，晚年返港推動「美術救國」。陳海鷹承其志，創辦香港美專，此作正是兩代藝術家與香港美育傳承的珍貴見證。 
 
 
About Artist 關於藝術家 
 
Chan Hoi Ying, a key Hong Kong artist, founded the HK Academy of Fine Arts in 1952. A student of Li Tie-fu, he mastered John Sargent’s techniques. Named one of the top three portraitists by ASOPA in 1994, he held retrospectives in 1993 and 2002, and taught at leading overseas art institutions. 
 
陳海鷹是香港藝壇與美術教育奠基人，1952年創辦香港美術專科學校。他師從李鐵夫，深得薩金特寫實技法真傳，1994年獲美國肖像畫家會評為三大優秀畫家。台灣省立美術館、香港藝術館先後為其舉辦回顧展，亦多次應海外名校邀請講學、示範油畫。
